Businessman William Storey confirmed on Wednesday he won鈥檛 be buying the club.

In a post on Wednesday on X, formerly known as Twitter, Mr. Storey says he entered a period of due diligence, waiting for the accountants to report.

But now they have reported, Mr. Storey and his investors have decided not to proceed with trying to buy the club.

He wished Reading FC and its loyal fans all the best and hopes an owner can be found for long-term success.
