La Haine director announces musical adaptation

The cult French film tells the story of three teenage boys from a poor immigrant neighbourhood in the suburbs of Paris and their constant confrontation with police. Its director, Matthieu Kassovitz, has announced that he's reworking La Haine...as a musical. From a lively Parisian street, he tells Jamie Coomarasamy why.
