'This will provide a better patient experience' New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton open Ambulance Receiving Centre

We've all seen the pictures of ambulances queuing up outside Hospitals waiting to offload patients at A&E haven't we?

The handovers are supposed to take no more than 15 minutes - but it's taking hours at the moment - because there are no beds available.

New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton has opened an Ambulance Receiving Centre, to try and get paramedics back on the road quicker.

Emma Tweddle is the Senior Sister in the Emergency Department there and spoke to us about the new centre.
