Katie told 91¸£ÀûÉç Young Composer: "My piece was inspired by the John Keats poem ‘Beauty is truth’. I thought about the atmosphere I wanted this composition to create; a simple, hymn-like mood that reflects the poem. I wanted to convey a message of simplicity and integrity in just a 30 second composition, and worked on how I could achieve this without it seeming too busy, which would contradict the general feeling of the piece."
