Sonequa Martin-Green: Star Trek's an institution of diversity
As the star of Star Trek: Discovery, actress Sonequa Martin-Green is the show's first black female lead, 50 years after the series first aired.
She spoke to Woman's Hour's Jane Garvey about being part of such a huge franchise, the political statements in the show - which is currently airing on Netflix in the UK - and the surprising backlash she has received from some fans.
