Choice of language at work.

Mia, a beautician, has an appointment with a new customer who would like a facial. She asks a series of questions before they start the treatment so she is prepared. She takes notes at the time which get written up in detail on the customer鈥檚 record card later. During the treatment Mia adjusts her body language so it鈥檚 a comfortable and relaxing experience. She doesn鈥檛 make small talk, speaks softly and explains what she鈥檚 doing. After the treatment Mia makes recommendations for the customer鈥檚 beauty regime. She tries to make a personal connection, and persuade the customer of her opinion and recommendation of what product to use.
