President of the Burma Star Association Lord Slim has described Prince Philip as "having the admiration and affection of all our members".
Lord Slim, who is son of field Marshal Bill Slim, leader of the WW2 Burma campaign, commented after the announcement of Prince Philip's retirement from public engagements.
