Lucas: Theresa May 'running scared' from TV debates
Green Party co-leader Caroline Lucas has told 5 live it looks like Theresa May is 鈥渞unning scared鈥� in her refusal to take part in TV election debates. The Prime Minister repeatedly said she will not be involved in any televised debates in the run up to the snap general election on the 8th of June.
Lucas told 5 live鈥檚 Tony Livesey:
"It just isn't right for the Prime Minister to avoid democratic scrutiny in this way.鈥�
鈥淭hese debates have now become part of our political life."
