How to treat phobias without thinking of them
A radical new therapy could help people overcome their phobias without even thinking of them.
The new procedure has been shown to dampen fears linked to painful memories and could be used to reduce anxieties in patients suffering from phobias and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Dr Ben Seymour, a clinical neuroscientist at Cambridge University who worked on the study, and Olivia Lawler has a phobia of spiders and another of blood and injuries, discuss the new research.
