The violinist bringing 'China's Romeo and Juliet' to western audiences
Music is meant to be a universal language - but different musical cultures between countries are often difficult to reconcile. One musician is making a bid to break down some of those barriers: Yi-Jia Susanne Hou is one of the finest violinists on the planet - born in Shanghai, now a Canadian citizen, Susanne has recorded a special version of the Butterfly Lovers Concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London: Chinese music with a western orchestra.
