Former Cabinet minister and prominent Leave campaigner John Redwood has urged people not to talk down the UK's hopes in the Brexit talks.

Mr Redwood said the UK could be confident about the negotiations and it did not help for people to speak about the government being in a weak position.

He was speaking after ex-European Investment Bank president Sir Brian Unwin labelled some of Brexit Secretary David Davis' remarks as "cloud cuckoo land".
