Dozens of tourists have spent the night trapped in cable cars suspended in the French Alps.

Colonel Frederic Labrunye, who commands the local gendarmerie and was involved in the rescue, explains how they were stuck on the cable car overnight and how helicopters were able to rescue the people one by one.
