Japan's Age-Related Pay
At most companies in Japan the older you get the more money you earn. In return for a job for life, companies paid their younger workers less and gradually increased their salary. But the economic crisis changed attitudes to job security in Japan, and now some companies are experimenting with a different model - paying and promoting staff based on their ability instead. Mariko Oi visited one company in Tokyo making changes.
