NHS 'constantly feeding regulatory beast'

Lord Stuart Rose has produced a report looking at how to improve leadership in the NHS.

The Conservative peer and former Marks and Spencer boss said he found a great ethos across the NHS, but also change-fatigue and staff burdened by an enormous amount of data and bureaucracy.

鈥淲e have to have regulation with a light touch,鈥� said Lord Rose. 鈥淭here鈥檚 a lot of managing upwards, constantly feeding the regulatory beast.鈥�
