One of the most renowned distance races in the Mediterranean, the Giraglia Cup which celebrates its 62nd edition in 2014, is an offshore classic. The historic port of Saint-Tropez plays host to three days of inshore racing before the start of the main event, a 243 nautical mile charge across the Mediterranean. Following the departure, the fleet heads through the idyllic Iles d锟紿yeres before turning to cross the open sea and the symbolic rounding of the Giraglia, a rocky islet of Corsica, before racing to the finish in Italy.
