Main content
An exploration of the history and future of deaf education, from the fight for sign language in schools to the need for better access, representation and support for deaf children.
Marios Costi presents a programme exploring deaf education: where it began, how it has changed and what the future could hold for the next generation.
Marios is joined by Martine Monksfield, teacher of the deaf, former president of Batod and a long-standing campaigner for improvements in deaf education. Together, they discuss the changes taking place across education, the importance of language and communication, and the need to protect the rights of deaf children, including those with additional needs.
