Chris Packham on kestrels, conservation and how science can save the world

In conversation at London鈥檚 Royal Institution, Chris Packham tells Jim Al-Khalili about the highs and lows of a life spent trying to find harmony between humans and nature.

From making natural science accessible to kids and reconstructing dinosaurs, to taking on threats to Britain鈥檚 wildlife, Chris Packham has never been one to shy away from a challenge.

The naturalist, broadcaster and conservation campaigner has spent more than four decades bringing the wonders of the natural world into our living rooms, including via the long-running TV favourites The Really Wild Show and Springwatch. In recent years, he鈥檚 also spoken candidly about autism and mental health, following his own Asperger鈥檚 diagnosis in his forties. And despite the many challenges currently facing our planet and its biodiversity, Chris remains resolutely optimistic about the future...
