Episode 1
An anonymous patient wakes from a coma at a Dublin care home and reveals he is a gangster with buried treasure. Is this a chance of a lifetime for nurse Bridget and ex con Paul?
Bridget is an unconventional nurse who works the night shift at a Dublin care home. She reads the old folk bedtime horror stories, arranges late-night dances and euthanises them if they ask nicely.
Into this secret world comes Paul, a vulnerable young man stuck stealing cars to repay a debt to crime boss Ma Baker. Paul is desperate to stay out of prison and needs a legitimate job to keep him safe, so he calls on his guardian angel - an irascible detective called Bunny Ryan. Bunny uses his personal history with the matron of Bridget鈥檚 nursing home to pull in a favour - a favour that will cost him dear. On Bridget and Paul鈥檚 first shift together, a mysterious comatose patient known only as 鈥楢nonymous鈥 wakes up and reveals he is a long-lost gangster with a buried hoard of Celtic gold. Could this treasure be the answer to all of Bridget and Paul鈥檚 troubles? Will they risk everything to find it?
