Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr, aka U2, join Vernon Kay to choose ten songs from their lives as they release their new album, Carnaval De Luz, their first in nine years.

Fifty years since the band formed as teenagers at Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Dublin in 1976, U2 are now recognised as one of the biggest bands in history earning their spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. They've won more Grammy Awards than any other band in history, picking up 22 awards, while their seven awards for Best International Act is a Brit Award record that they share with Prince and Michael Jackson. Alongside the critical acclaim, U2 are one of the biggest selling acts of all time with 175 million album sales to their name and their U2 360 tour became the highest-grossing tour of all time while pioneering a more immersive concert experience for fans.

Bono and Adam Clayton both appeared on the Band Aid record, before a breakout performance for the group the following year at the Wembley leg of Live Aid. Later in their career they headlined Glastonbury's pyramid stage in 2011 and became the first act to perform at the iconic Las Vegas Sphere in 2023.

Now the band are back with a brand new album, Carnaval de Luz, their first album in three years, alongside a world tour in 2027 marking their first UK stadium shows in a decade.
