Fire Music
In the week of Bonfire Night, Jennifer Lucy Allan picks sonic bangers including tracks from Polar Praxis, Vanessa Rossetto, and Archie Shepp.
Illuminating, vibrant, homely, disruptive: Jennifer Lucy Allan selects music inspired by fire. Expect experimental jazz bangers from contemporary outfit Irreversible Entanglements as well as Archie Shepp鈥檚 classic 1965 album Fire Music, together with the sparkling electronic explorations of Polar Praxis and their Music for Fireworks. Plus Afro-Cuban guitar sounds for the campfire huddle.
