B&B signifies Bed and Breakfast. it's also the names of old chums Brenda and Brian. Will their house-guests be comfortable? Or is ‘cosy crime’ on the menu?

B&B - the tale of Brian and Brenda. These lifelong chums are just opening a small Bed and Breakfast in the Shropshire hills, by the Welsh border. But is ‘cosy crime’ also on the menu?

Martin Jarvis directs this comedy drama, where perhaps not everything is quite so cosy. Murderous, in fact?

The cast includes Nina Wadia (EastEnders, National Theatre, Goodness Gracious Me) as Brenda, and Michael Simkins (Father Brown, Silent Witness, National Theatre) as Brian.

Does everyone in this ingenious play have something to hide? Rose Williams (Sanditon, Reign) as a downtrodden young wife? Adam Sopp (Call The Midwife, Harry Potter video games) as her personal-trainer husband? Or Lorna Laidlaw (Coronation Street, Doctors) playing garrulous Mrs Marigold, and Toyin Omari-Kinch(Cloudfall, An Enemy Within) as her mild grandson Joe-Joe?

Which of them might not be all they seem?

Written by David Semple (Father Brown, Shakespeare & Hathaway, Casualty, Doctors)
