Three hours of classical sparkle

Sarah Walker with three hours of classical music to reflect, restore and refresh whether you鈥檝e got a busy day of chores ahead, or having a few hours of rest.

Today Sarah heads to Venice for her Choral Reflection with music by Clara Schumann, and she enjoys brightly scurrying strings: from a symphonic movement by Alice Mary Smith, to Bach鈥檚 much loved third Brandenburg Concerto and the whirling scherzo from Mendelssohn鈥檚 Octet.

There鈥檚 also some dramatic orchestral tension in the overture from Berlioz鈥檚 never-finished opera Les Francs-juges, and a beautifully lyrical oboe duet.

Plus, Haydn conjurs up the tick tock of the clock鈥
