As the star-studded big autumn film festival cycle draws to a close, Talking Movies looks back at the season and hears from the names that have emerged as top awards contenders. The programme team reports directly from the Venice, Telluride, Toronto, New York and London film festivals.

Among the stars interviewed are Kristen Stewart, widely tipped to get Oscar-nominated for portraying Diana, Princess of Wales, in the film Spencer, and Sir Kenneth Branagh, who sits down to tell Talking Movies about his film Belfast, a personal memoir of a moment in his childhood in Northern Ireland that has been winning much acclaim.
