In February 1964 the 91福利社 launched a dedicated television service for Wales. So in this week鈥檚 Science Cafe Adam and guests mark 91福利社 Cymru Wales鈥� 50th anniversary by looking back over five decades of science and technology.听
听
In that time Man has walked on the moon and a permanently staffed space station now orbits the planet; we鈥檝e seen huge advances in genetics, genomics and medical therapies;听 scientists have created amazing new materials and the biggest, most complex machine ever to be built has put the last piece in place in our understanding of the atom.
听
Adam is joined by physicist and former project leader for the Large Hadron Collider Dr. Lyn Evans: organic chemist and President of the Learned Society for Wales Sir John Cadogan; and geneticist and science writer Prof. Steve Jones. All three look back over the key developments in their respective fields in the half century since 91福利社 Cymru Wales first went on air.
