This year Amnesty International reaches a milestone - 50 years of campaigning on behalf of prisoners of conscience and speaking out for freedom. However, the group's values and strategy have come under fire from both insiders and outsiders. Rather than collective satisfaction, the fiftieth birthday is marked by soul searching.
