C91¸£ÀûÉç changes the
face of Saturday mornings
C91¸£ÀûÉç promises a magical start to the weekend when The Mysti
Show joins C91¸£ÀûÉç's exciting new Saturday morning line-up this
spring.
The Mysti Show is a ground-breaking mix of drama and entertainment
and features Mysti who is half-human and half-fairy and is torn between
her two worlds.
Each week Mysti and her friends Rick, Ella and Ollie explore life in
both worlds, dealing with the universal ups and downs of growing up.
Adding comedy to the concoction - and premiering on children's TV -
is stand-up comedian James Campbell whose unique brand
of ingenious humour guarantees some Saturday morning rib-tickling.
The Mysti Show is just part of a new line-up for Saturday mornings
on C91¸£ÀûÉç. As promised, The Saturday Show returns, but
with a new look and a new line-up.
Popular C91¸£ÀûÉç stars Angellica Bell and Jake
Humphrey join Simon Grant to kick off the
morning with a format that puts children at the heart of the show.
To round up the morning, C91¸£ÀûÉç star Fearne Cotton continues
to host Top of the Pops Saturday, Top of the Pops'
sister show, exclusive to C91¸£ÀûÉç.
The show gives an insight into the world of pop, looks at what it takes
to make it in the music business, along with performances, confessions
and top tips from the hottest acts.
Dorothy Prior, Controller C91¸£ÀûÉç, says: "I'm really excited about this
new line-up for Saturday mornings. Dick & Dom in da Bungalow caused
a stir when it launched on 91¸£ÀûÉç ONE and I hope our latest schedule will
do the same.
"I believe these different formats offer an exciting and entertaining
start to the weekend that's specially-tailored for our young audiences."
The new Saturday morning line-up will go out on The C91¸£ÀûÉç Channel and
91¸£ÀûÉç ONE from spring.

3. Almost two years on from launch it is a strong picture for the
91¸£ÀûÉç digital children's channels:
• Across February 2004 The C91¸£ÀûÉç Channel had
its highest average audience ever, with 34,000 viewers.
Audiences to The C91¸£ÀûÉç Channel continue to show significant year on
year improvement, with the channel in January 2004 taking double the
audience of the previous year and placing C91¸£ÀûÉç at third place in the
digital children's market across its own airtime (behind CBeebies &
Boomerang).
• The CBeebies channel has maintained its first
place position year-on-year with a 6.2% share amongst children in digital
homes across its own air time.
At 4.4%, the C91¸£ÀûÉç Channel has established itself in children's viewing
repertoire.
