What's the best aspect of directing films: Being on set is the greatest thing. It鈥檚 exhausting, but I would quite happily spend every day of the year filming if I could.听 The other best aspect is knowing you鈥檝e done something that people appreciate.
And the worst: The worst is getting it wrong and having regrets. Not spending enough time developing the script.
Never be on set without: A good pair of shoes and a chair.
Budget for Surprise: 拢500 - and a lot of favours! The true costs should have been closer to 拢10,000
Top tip for film making: 1) Develop the script. 2) Be a perfectionist. 3) Invite criticism. 4) Trust your instinct.
