The result of the final show is that Only Men Aloud! are the Last Choir Standing, with Ysgol Glanaethwy as runners up.

The biggest choral battle ever kicked off with all three choirs performing the very apt, 鈥業鈥檓 Still Standing鈥� by Elton John. Britain鈥檚 favourite choir would be crowned later in the evening and all three choirs had come so far, no-one wanted to go home.

Our three judges were very excited and Russell was 鈥渞eady to rock鈥�, Sharon was expecting 鈥渟ensational performances鈥� that 鈥渟poke to her soul鈥�, and Suzi encouraged the viewers at home to 鈥渦se their ears and not just their eyes鈥� in making their all important voting decisions.

Up first were Only Men Aloud! singing the Welsh Rugby Union team鈥檚 anthem, 鈥楥wm Rhondda鈥�, and they were hoping for a 鈥済rand slam鈥� performance. Suzi commented that they had an 鈥渆xtraordinary bunch of voices鈥� and brought such 鈥渄iversity to the programming鈥�. Sharon felt that it was a very 鈥渟tirring way to kick off the final鈥�. And all Russell could say was use one of his gran鈥檚 phrases, 鈥淐rumbs, that was fantastic鈥� and that they had 鈥渄one Wales proud鈥�.

Next up were Ysgol Glanaethwy singing 鈥楾ry A Little Tenderness鈥�. Sharon was blown away, 鈥淵sgol Glanaethwy just got funky鈥� 鈥� a big compliment considering Sharon鈥檚 criticisms in previous shows. Suzi finished off saying that they were 鈥渇ull of energy and fun鈥�, 鈥渄azzling鈥�.

Then came Revelation, 鈥渞eborn, recharged and re-energised鈥� and hoping to go all the way. They sang 鈥楢in鈥檛 No Stopping Us Now鈥� by McFadden and Whitehead. Afterwards Russell admitted to being 鈥渋n shock鈥�, commenting that it could have been the 鈥渂est performance of the series鈥�. Sharon felt they were 鈥渃ool, funky, confident and smooth鈥� and that they were 鈥減ulling out all the stops鈥�.

We then got to hear about the Olympic experience the three choirs had when they performed at the London 2012 party, in front of Buckingham Palace, singing 鈥楽hine鈥� by Take That. And back in the studio, and from one Take That song to another, all three finalists performed 鈥楴ever Forget鈥�.

Next, the choirs had to perform, what the judges considered to be, their 鈥渟ong of the series鈥�.

Only Men Aloud performed 鈥楧on鈥檛 Rain On My Parade鈥�, which Russell felt was 鈥渟till magnificent鈥�. Sharon felt it was 鈥済reat showmanship鈥� delivering 鈥済reat harmonies鈥�. Suzi thought their 鈥渁ttention to detail鈥� was fantastic.

Then we saw Ysgol Glanaethwy sing their 鈥渟ong of the series鈥�, 鈥極 Fortuna鈥�. This time Suzi thought it was the 鈥減erformance of the entire series鈥�. Sharon was amazed, describing the choir as 鈥渢echnically and dynamically perfect鈥�. Russell was on his feet giving a rare 鈥淲atson Stander!鈥�, he was 鈥渁mazed鈥�.

And finally Revelation took to the stage and performed 鈥楻ule The World鈥�. Sharon thought it was even 鈥渂etter second time round鈥�, describing them as the 鈥渕asters of emotion鈥�. Suzi said it was like 鈥渟inking into a warm bath鈥�. Russell found them 鈥渟o engaging鈥� and commented that the 鈥渨hole world stops when you start to sing鈥�.

Before we found out who would be going home, Russell took to the stage with the choir that was knocked out last week, ACM Gospel Choir. They sang a fantastic version of 鈥楬eaven Help Us All鈥� by Stevie Wonder.

Then the lines were then frozen, the votes were counted and independently verified. The two choirs who the public had voted through were Only Men Aloud! and Ysgol Glanaethwy, with Revelation being sent home. It was to be an all Welsh final.

Ysgol Glanaethwy were the first to sing and performed 'All That Jazz'. Only Men Aloud! followed this with 'All By Myself'. The tension was incredible as both choirs waited to here who the public had chosen. The judges were asked who they would choose. Both Sharon and Russell went for Only Men Aloud!, whereas Suzi picked Ysgol Glanaethwy.

But it wasn't the judges decision, and the choir voted the Last Choir Standing was Only Men Aloud!
