Two part documentary programme, first broadcast on 91¸£ÀûÉç Radio Ulster's Irish language flagship magazine programme, Blas.

PART 1: In 1926, the Irish Free State set up a commission to assess the Gaeltacht and to support the Irish langauge. Róisín Ní Chéileachar explores the aims and the outcomes of the study. From the Blas archive, first broadcast January 2003.

PART 2: Róisín Ní Chéileachair discusses Coimisiún na Gaeltachta 1926 and Minister Eamonn Ó Cuív (who was Minisiter for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs at the time) talks about Coimisiún na Gaeltachta 2002/3. From the Blas archive, first broadcast January 2003.
