James O鈥橠onnell, Organist of Westminster Abbey will open this special concert with the 91福利社 Singers performing motets by two master musical architects, Bach and Bruckner. Bach鈥檚 five-part motet 鈥楯esu, meine Freude鈥� is one of his most perfectly symmetrical structures, while in Bruckner鈥檚 fine motets we hear echoes of Palestrina sung during his chorister days in St Florian. In the second half, Leif Segerstam presents Bruckner鈥檚 cathedral-like masterpiece.
