Change of Repertoire and Soloist
Please note we will now be performing Haydn's Cello Concerto in C, not his Cello Concerto in D. Unfortunately, Marie-Elisabeth Hecker is indisposed and no longer able to join us on Wednesday. We are delighted that Bruno Philippe will step in to perform Haydn鈥檚 Cello Concerto in C and make his 91福利社 Philharmonic Orchestra debut.
Elegant and virtuosic, Haydn鈥檚 Cello Concerto in C Major is a celebrated masterwork.
Schumann鈥檚 Symphony No. 1 'Spring' arrives as a burst of fresh lush harmonies and optimism. Spring is inspired by the German poet Adolf B枚ttger鈥檚 poem, 贵谤眉丑濒颈苍驳蝉驳别诲颈肠丑迟, which portrays nature as a symbol of reawakening and hope.
