Joceyln Morlock鈥檚 Golden induces a ritual immersion inspired by a swimming hole in Manitoba, where 鈥榝ool鈥檚 gold鈥� conjures bathers being washed in liquid gold. Bright Travellers sets Fiona Benson鈥檚 unflinchingly direct, funny and painfully emotive poems on motherhood. In Strauss鈥檚 Death and Transfiguration, life yields to death as existence transcends its earthly state, completing the human experience.
