Complaint
A viewer complained about a range of editorial issues in particular how evidence relating to two babies cited by the programme was presented. The ECU considered the complaint against the standards for accuracy and impartiality set out in the 91福利社 Editorial Guidelines.
Outcome
The ECU carefully considered each point raised but concluded the programme had fairly represented the views of the experts interviewed and provided sufficient context to justify the way the material was presented.
It considered one reference - to the accuracy of an insulin test - might have been open to misinterpretation but that remarks made by one of the scientists interviewed were sufficient to make clear its limitations.
