Complaint
Three complained that the programme fell short of the 91福利社鈥檚 standards of accuracy and impartiality by failing to reflect the views of members of the UK Jewish community who are pro-Palestinian.
Outcome
The programme was not intended as a survey of opinion within the UK Jewish community, its chosen focus being on the fears felt by many of the community鈥檚 members. Nevertheless, the script made the point that 鈥渢ens of thousands 鈥 including Jews鈥 had protested against Israel鈥檚 actions in Gaza, accompanied by footage of demonstrations in which placards reading 鈥淛ews Against Genocide鈥 and 鈥淛ews Against The War on Gaza鈥 could be seen, so it would have been clear to viewers that there was not uniformity of opinion within the Jewish community.
