Easter 2005

Easter 2005 went down in Welsh surfing folklore as one of the best swells for sometime with a solid 6-8ft groundswell, offshore winds and three days bank holiday to enjoy it!

Surfed White sands good 4-5ft, classic see photos on www.aled-evans.com. Super clean and caugh some amazing waves getting a littel to big for poor old me. but would not have missed it for the world.

Went down to fresh on this very saturday, well done to all of the guys who did actually make it out the back. Untill this day i have never seen such big perfect waves in the UK. 8ft and a bit bigger on the odd set, did i make it out back? did i hell! Best I have ever seen Fresh Water West, twas breaking right 8ft glassy right handers like a foreign break in the pacific.

I missed this swell... but only because i was in Australia!! Surfing a few points down from Tom Curren and Kelly Slater on a stop from the Bells Beach Pro- It was about 15ft at deadmans where they were ripping. Did i paddle out... did i f*ck haha. Maybe next time!

Did you surf this classic day? Share the stoke!
