You should know him...听听 Bibendum became a household name and went as far as to win advertising icon of the century in 2000!
If you鈥檙e struggling to work out what I鈥檓 talking about, let me help you out. You may know him better as Bib the Michelin Man.

Michelin鈥檚 main UK headquarters are in Stoke, so I like to think of Bib as a bit of a local.
So, I thought you鈥檇 all like to know what he鈥檚 been up to and where he disappeared to - because the little man made of tyres was taken out of the public eye in 1999, and Michelin actually stopped all of its TV adverts with him in 2003.
Y'know - I鈥檝e missed him.

It turns out that designers decided it was time Bib had a bit of a makeover to keep with the ever changing fashions. So, he was put on a diet and asked to lose two stone.
And now he's making a comeback.

Interview (of sorts)

Now if he could speak, I think a conversation with him would be fascinating.听 So, in my own mind, I met up with Bib the other day in an imaginary coffee-bar to find out a little bit more about the local celeb...
To make it more interesting, I thought I'd get as many puns in as possible - count them!

So Bib, How are you?

-I鈥檓 well thank you Alice, rather tyred. It鈥檚 been a busy few months.

Why鈥檚 that then, Bib?

-Well, we鈥檝e been busy filming a range of new adverts now I have my new look.

Yes I noticed Bib; you鈥檙e looking very pumped up and fit. What鈥檝e you been doing to change your look?

-Well, I鈥檝e been spending a lot of time at the gym, working out. It was tough losing the pounds but I feel a lot better for it and look better too.

Yes you do Bib. So for us Gym-phobics, what exercise has been most beneficial for you?

-Well, I love spinning. Spinning classes are really good for burning the calories. I鈥檓 not a big fan of the treadmill though. I鈥檝e also done a bit of weight lifting.

So what does the future hold for you, Bib?

-Well things are really running in the fast lane for me as part of the Michelin Group now so I鈥檓 really looking forward to the work we鈥檝e got coming up. But, in the more distant future, I鈥檇 like to take things down a gear or two and settle with a nice lady and have a family.

Have you got anyone in mind?

-That would be telling. It鈥檚 all a bit up in the air at the moment.
