Helen spoke to the Chief Executive of the Centre, and founder of The Moorland Mousie Trust charity (which works solely for the benefit of the Exmoor pony), Valerie Sherwin.

Horse expert Sarah Weston has worked with the Centre since 2002,听giving help and guidance with handling the Exmoors.

Sarah was on-hand to explain how and why the young ponies are brought off the moor every autumn, and what happens to them next:

A Recommended Associate of Intelligent Horsemanship and a holder of the Monty Robert's Preliminary Certificate in Horsemanship, Sarah handles the untouched Exmoor colts so that they can go out to fosterers.
