Stephen's Story
My Grandfather never spoke about the war, he was at the Battle of the Somme and injured by a shell . We found photo's after his death of aircraft on an airfield and in hangars with women working on the airframes, we think he was sent there for rest and recuperation after his return from the Somme as he never spoke of this at all.
