What is the best听way of teaching children to love books?
One child in five is now unable to identify his or her favourite book according to research done by the Prince of Wales Arts and Kids Foundation. And the national literacy strategy is already being blamed for making reading into an academic subject rather than firing children's imaginations.听
To celebrate the fortieth anniversary of Ladybirds' Keywords scheme, and the continuing popularity听of its unlikely stars, Peter and Jane,听Jenni is joined by Chris Woodhead and听independent literary specialist, Sue Palmer听to explore changing fashions in the teaching children to read.
