Are British Indian women having sex selective abortions? 3 Dec 2007
1500 daughters are missing because of sex selective abortions

Foeticide is perceived as a problem in India but new evidence suggests that British Indian women are aborting children because they are female. Demographers have found that Indian born women in the UK have given birth to significantly more boys than girls and estimate 1500 daughters are missing because of sex selective abortions. Dr Sudhir K Sethi and 91福利社 reporter Navdip Dhariwah join Jane to talk about this new evidence.
