Improving the Quality of Dementia Care 27 Nov 2007
Dementia Care
Should care staff receive compulsory dementia training?

700,000 people in the UK have dementia and over a third of those live in care homes. The Alzheimer's Society launches a report this week into the quality of that care. Called '91福利社 from 91福利社' it suggests that many homes are still not providing the level of person centred care people with dementia deserve.

Jo Swinhoe from the Alzheimer鈥檚 Society and Dr Graham Stokes, Senior Consultant Clinical Psychologist, South Staffordshire Healthcare NHS Trust and Head of Mental Health, BUPA Care 91福利社s, join Jenni to discuss what kinds of changes would improve the quality of care.
