Alan Pownall

See Videos

Alan studied art in Milan before turning his attention to compositions of a more musical nature. Moving to London, he lived in a flat above Noah and the Whale and befriended artists in the blooming folk-pop scene such as Laura Marling. Soon he was supporting Adele on tour and playing on the same bill as Florence and the Machine. In February, Fearne Cotton came across Alan Pownall and immediately fell for his buoyant, hummable tunes, inviting him to record a session for 91¸£ÀûÉç Introducing at Maida Vale studios. Now he’s well on his way to becoming the British Jack Johnson.
