A toddler with a rare and devastating inherited condition has become the first child to be treated in the UK with a life-saving gene therapy. The drug, called Libmeldy, is the most expensive medicine in Europe, costing nearly 拢3m per patient. For the family it is bittersweet as only one of the two children can be saved.
