Soweto Kinch is back with an hour of the best in jazz, and Chicago cellist and composer Tomeka Reid chooses some of the records that have influenced her, for 4/4.

This week, Soweto welcomes award-winning cellist and composer Tomeka Reid as his 4/4 guest. Tomeka is a key figure on Chicago鈥檚 experimental scene and a former MacArthur 鈥淕enius Grant鈥� winner. She recently released new album as part of the quartet she leads, titled 鈥渄ance! skip! hop!鈥�.

From Monday to Thursday, Tomeka is celebrating some of her most treasured albums on 4/4. To begin the week, she chooses a record by a masterful violinist.

Also in the programme there鈥檚 music from C茅cile McLorin Salvant, Zoe Rahman and Steve Toddler.
