For the very best in traditional music, join Gary Innes for Take the Floor. We have a wonderful session from The John Mason Tribute Dance Band, led by bandleader Alistair McCulloch. This session is made up entirely of tunes composed by the late John Mason MBE.
We then continue to celebrate the life of John Mason, with another chance to hear an extended interview that Robbie Shepherd recorded with John for the Roads of Summer series over 25 years ago. We also welcome the current musical director of the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra, Blair Parham, to tell us just how big of an impact John Mason had on the organisation and his own career.
