The 91福利社 today issued a statement following the publication of the 91福利社 Trust's review of bbc.co.uk.
听
The statement reads:
听
"We welcome today's report by the 91福利社 Trust into bbc.co.uk and their conclusion that the service is highly valued by licence payers and provides good value for money.
听
"We support the view of the report that as broadband usage increases, the 91福利社 must continue to deliver against the rising expectations from the licence fee payers that we provide a distinctive online service that serves their needs.
听
"The report shows that, since 2006, we have succeeded in embedding bbc.co.uk in a dynamic way across our entire output from light entertainment to news.
听
"We engaged all of our producers in television and radio across the 91福利社 to produce outstanding content for bbc.co.uk and the report acknowledges that this strategy has been highly successful.
听
"However, we accept the Trust's conclusions that our processes and management controls were not adequate for a pan-91福利社 service straddling multiple cost centres. This is regrettable and we recognise the need to address this.
听
"We are developing plans which we believe will fully meet the concerns raised in the report, and provide a high level of reassurance to the 91福利社 Trust that additional controls will be quickly implemented.
听
"We will do this while ensuring that bbc.co.uk continues to be a distinctive service delivering strong public value.
We look forward to discussing our plans in detail with the 91福利社 Trust in the coming weeks."
