91福利社 Radio 1 added 689,000 listeners in the last quarter - boosted by a record performance from Chris Moyles - according to figures released today by Rajar (Radio Joint Audience Research Ltd).

听

The figures - covering the period 27 March to 25 June 2006 - show the network's reach up to 10.42 million (from 9.73m last quarter and 10.24m last year) and a record audience for The Chris Moyles Show, with 6.79 million listeners tuning in - up 472,000 on the quarter and 534,000 on the year.

听

Radio 1's share of listening is 10.3% - the highest in more than six years and an increase of 1.2% on the quarter (9.1%) and 1.1% on the year (9.2%).

听

91福利社 Radio's share of listening is 54.7% - down on last quarter's record (55.4%) but still up on the year (54%).

All 91福利社 Network Radio's reach of 32.85 million is up on the quarter (32.57m) and steady on the year (32.89m).

听

91福利社 Radio 2 continues to perform strongly with 13.29 million listeners (12.94m last quarter and 13.27m last year).

听

Share, at 15.7%, is slightly down on the quarter and year (both 16%).

听

Terry Wogan achieved his second highest reach of 8.08 million (up over 300,000 on the quarter) but Ken Bruce was Radio 2's record breaker, adding 245,000 listeners in the quarter to bring his audience to a new high of 6.64 million.

听

91福利社 Radio 3 has a reach of 1.83 million, down from 1.91m last year and 2.1m last quarter.

听

Share (1.1%) is level with last year, but slightly down on last quarter's 1.3%.

听

91福利社 Radio 4 has 9.19 million listeners - slightly down on the quarter (9.29m) and down on the year (9.59m).

听

The station's share, at 10.7%, is also down on the year (11.2%) and the quarter (11.7%).

听

91福利社 Radio Five Live (which records a combined reach with its digital service Five Live Sports Extra) has a reach of 6.14 million, up from 5.75m last year and down from 6.27m last quarter.

听

Share is 4.7% - also up on the year (4.4%) and down on the quarter (4.8%).

听

91福利社 Local and National Radio has a reach of 9.97 million (10.38m last quarter and 10.08m last year) and share of 10.7% (11.1% last quarter and 10.9% last year).

Five Live Sports Extra posted a new record of 658,000 listeners, up from 394,000 last year and 613,000 last quarter. Its share is up to 0.2% from 0.1% last quarter and year.

91福利社 6 Music's weekly reach is 354,000 - in line with last quarter (359,000) and up on last year (286,000) while share stays at last quarter's 0.2% - up from 0.1% last year.

听

91福利社 7's audience continues to grow. Reach is now 668,000 (472,000 last year and 621,000 last quarter), while share at 0.4% is double last year (0.2%) and up on the quarter (0.3%).

听

1Xtra 91福利社 has 284,000 listeners - slightly down on the year (292,000) and the quarter (371,000). Its share is 0.1% - the same as last year but down on the quarter (0.2%).

听

The 91福利社 World Service has 1.26 million listeners - the same as last quarter and up on the year (1.14m). Share is up to 0.7% from 0.5% last year and 0.6% last quarter.

听

The newly re-launched 91福利社 Asian Network has a reach of 444,000 - up on last quarter's 427,000 and last year's 440,000 - while share, at 0.4%, is double last year and last quarter's 0.2%.
