Commissioning Editor, Features and Formats, 91¸£ÀûÉç One and 91¸£ÀûÉç Two

Alison Kirkham is the new Commissioning Editor for Features and Formats in the 91¸£ÀûÉç Knowledge commissioning team. In this role she commissions all factual features and formats for 91¸£ÀûÉç One and 91¸£ÀûÉç Two from both the independent sector and in-house production.

Until July 2010, Alison was Commissioning Executive for 91¸£ÀûÉç One Features. Her 91¸£ÀûÉç executive producing credits include Joanna Lumley In The Land Of The Northern Lights (91¸£ÀûÉç One), Accidental Heroes (91¸£ÀûÉç One), The Delicious Miss Dahl ( 91¸£ÀûÉç T wo) and Great British Waste Menu ( 91¸£ÀûÉç One).

Alison's 91¸£ÀûÉç career started in August 2005 when she joined Daytime as an executive producer.

During Alison's time at Daytime her credits include Extreme Dreams (91¸£ÀûÉç Two), Strictly It Takes Two (91¸£ÀûÉç Two), Don't Get Done Get Dom (91¸£ÀûÉç One) and Missing (91¸£ÀûÉç One).

She also executive produced some Daytime drama including the then-new Director's Debut strand.

She spent six months acting up as Controller of 91¸£ÀûÉç Daytime in 2006.

Prior to joining the 91¸£ÀûÉç Alison worked for a year as associate editor of Richard And Judy (Channel 4) for Cactus TV.

Previously Alison worked in ITV Current Affairs as a producer/director on Tonight With Trevor McDonald.

She also worked producing and directing on ITV's Iraq War and 9/11 coverage. Interviews she secured and produced included President Bush, Colin Powell, Hillary Clinton, Rudy Guiliani and Laura Bush.

She produced the news-making ITV debate special featuring the-then Prime Minister, Tony Blair, Women On The War.

Other Tonight credits include a documentary special marking the one-year anniversary of the death of Caron Keating featuring exclusive interviews with Keating's family, as well as interviews with Faria Alam on her affair with Sven-Goran Eriksson, and Edwina Currie on her John Major revelations.

Alison Kirkham also spent a period while at Granada on secondment from Tonight to produce on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
