Ben Fogle took part in what was probably one of the first TV reality shows. Castaway hit our screens in January 2000.

He was one of 36 people who volunteered to spend a year living on the Scottish island of Taransay, building their own shelters and fending for themselves in a community.

The cameras followed them for a whole year and Ben found himself cast as the programme's 'heart-throb'!

As the son of actress Julia Foster and TV vet Bruce Fogle, his childhood was far from conventional.

Ben spoke to 91福利社 Radio York's Adam Tomlinson about his childhood, Castaway 2000, career and adventures - what a lot he's packed into 34 years!
