Can any of your readers remember Douglas Armstrong
who ran Hart & Churchill on Wellington Place, Belfast?
I worked for this remarkable man for a couple of years
in the late 60's and remember him as a musical marvel.
He could play any instrument put in front of him and
was a great choir master. I would love to hear of any
readers contact with this truly wonderful man.

I remember him well. Apart from his phenomenal musical
talent, he was a real character. I never saw him without
a
bow-tie
on. I attended his chamber choir in the City of Belfast
School of Music in the early '70s. He was a fantastic
tutor and a great man to work with. I also heard him
give numerous organ recitals when I was young.
